Column258 are proud to be supporting Ozric Tentacles at The Piper on Thursday 9 July as part of Syd’s Last Stand. Ozric Tentacles are one of the most influential bands to emerge from the UK’s festival scene, formed during the solstice at Stonehenge Free Festival 1983. The creative vision of multi-instrumentalist Ed Wynne leads an ever-shifting line-up who continue to tour worldwide. Their uniquely trippy soundscapes connect fans of progressive rock, psychedelia and dance music culture. Column258 will play a 45min set heavily referencing Syd Barrett’s Madcap Laugh’s album, with a nod to the early Pink Floyd Sound and the seminal Piper at the Gates of Dawn first album in addition to a saucerful of their own songs.
